Penang postcards: Day 2
George Town is great for many things but the afternoon heat is killer. I know objectively Singapore is closer to the equator, but somehow it feels hotter here. It didn’t help that the streets heading out of GT didn’t feel particularly walkable.
Anyway…that afternoon walk was in service of finding great Penang char kway teow (or char koay teow, as they say here). And I did! I dare say it tastes better than what I’ve had in Singapore so far, without feeling too heavy or drenched in soy sauce.
